Dulais Valley Community Transport Scheme was established in 1999
and since then has developed the services on offer to local people who have played an integral part in the development of
those services. As this was the number one priority it made sense to look at developing the service in
such a way that it became its own entity thus enabling them to concentrate, and work with local, regional and national partners
to offer wider scheme that covers the whole of Neath Port Talbot County Borough.
In 2005 the Board of Directors meet with the management group and agreed that the scheme start to develop and take
more overall control of the service, gaining the skills and confidence to then become its own entity. This
was a complicated process and normal delivery had to be maintained and developed simultaneously, but the endeavour and commitment
was maintained throughout the next 3 years and it was finally decided that 1st April 2009 was the target date to
work towards. This
was achieved and D.A.N.S.A (Dulais, Amman, Neath, Swansea and Afon) was born and we are pleased to say that they go from strength
to strength offering a host of services to the communities of Neath Port Talbot and surrounding areas.
We look forward to working with, and supporting
future developments of D.A.N.S.A
